About Mark Lonquist
Estrella Mountain Medical Group
Although Dr. Mark R. Lonquist is the Medical Director, as well as a Physician, at Arizona’s Estrella Mountain Medical Group, Lonquist has other responsibilities and interests outside of the Goodyear-based facility. Dr. Mark Lonquist has been with Estrella Mountain Medical Group since summer 1995, and despite his upper management status, Lonquist spends most of his time treating patients. Additionally, Dr. Mark Lonquist is in charge of Estrella’s human resources, budget, family practice care and direct patient care units, physician education, and three medical clinics and activities related to EMMG and IMS.
West Valley Hospital
In addition to his everyday duties at Estrella Mountain Medical Group, Dr. Mark Lonquist is also affiliated with Arizona’s West Valley Hospital. At West Valley Hospital, Dr. Lonquist served as the Chairman of the Department of Medicine and was on the Medical Executive Committee.He currently sits on the Credentials Committee. When Dr. Lonquist is not working with hospital management, he spends his time working on development projects that will bring medical buildings to both Avondale and Goodyear. Dr. Lonquist was also part of a team of professionals that forged a merger with multiple doctors who founded Integrated Medical Services, a medical group comprised of doctors with various specialties.
West Valley National Bank
Aside from medicine, Mark Lonquist is a part of the West Valley National Bank’s Board of Directors, where he oversees the budget, policies and business recruiting. In addition, Dr. Mark Lonquist somehow makes the time to participate in the Southwest Valley Leadership Group.
Leisure Activities
Mark Lonquist’s interests outside the business world include, swinging golf clubs on the green, playing tennis, going for a run, and spending time with his family and friends. When he is not in the great outdoors, Dr. Mark Lonquist likes to relax and read a book, especially those written by acclaimed authors J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephanie Meyers, Louis L’Amour, and Robert Ludlum.
